InDesign links changed paths when saved to the server

I recently updated to Mac OS X 10.9.5 and when I did that, it seems a ton of the links for my ID files have gone missing or the path changed.  For example, I created a file and saved it to the server.  One of my coworkers opened the file after I saved it and the most (almost all) of the links showed as missing.  When we looked at the path, it had a different drive number that it was supposed to, for example: I created the link with "S:Art/file1" and when she opened the file it shows the path as "U:Art/file1".  Not sure if this is an ID issue or Mac OS issue.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
