Re: Why do I need to be signed into my Adobe ID to use Elements Editor?

The serial number is required if you sign out ..... when you sign in again you are asked for the s/n...... so if you want to use it on another device, lets say a tablet, you will need to carry your s/n handy to do this.........when surely simply using your Adobe ID should surffice?  As I've said before when I use my cash point card and put in my PIN I don't expect to be asked for my account number as well !!!    If you can work "offline" then what is the point of signing in to your account?   Why if this is a stand alone product do you need to activate it after the initial installation?    When I'm connected to the internet I want to be sure that I'm only connected to a site that I to access and not to Adobe or any other site. If Adobe are not using this feature to collect data from my PC then they should allow us to use the software we have paid for without the need for being "signed in" and allow us to connect to Adobe as we wish and not as they want.  Please don't try and tell me that Adobe are not collecting info from me in this way !!!!    I recently spoke to a help desk Manager, at least thats what I was told he was, named Sundeep, who assured me he would try and find out if there was anyway to work around the need to be signed in.  But as yet I've had no further contact from him...... situation normal for Adobe help.  So we have to resort to forums and badly trained chat line operatives.   The only 1 good operative I spoke too seemed to try a gloss over the question I asked about this issue.   I really hope I don't find that Adobe are accessing info from my PC without my permission, buy there software does not give them this, because I'm sure there must be some legislation on this.
