Thanks again for the code - I've got it working, and its enabled me to start work on my new site, so It's been extremely useful.
One question - I want a full width image stretching across the top of the site. I think I've worked out how to achieve this, but would be grateful if you'd let me know whether my method is ok..
I've sized my image at 1440px wide (seen this width in use on other full width sites), and then I've set the width to 100%, leaving the height blank. This seems to work in all the browsers and devices I've tested, but I did want to check that this is the best way.
