Photoshop quits unexpectantly after update to Yosemite

Hey everyone,

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but I have tried to solve this problem on my own to no avail. My Photoshop CS5 (Version 12.0.4) keeps quitting at very sporadic times.

It all happened about a week ago after I upgraded my system to OS X Yosemite (Version 10.10): when I turned my computer back on and started to work in Photoshop, the program worked just fine until I clicked on the Set Foreground Color square at the bottom of the Tools Menu. As soon as the window opened for me to change the color, the program froze for a couple seconds and then just quit completely.

Luckily I didn't lose any work, but now it keeps doing this at very random times when I go to change the Foreground Color, and only when I go to change the Foreground Color. This has never happened when I click and mess around with anything else. It doesn't do this every time, but it is a big nuisance none-of-the-less and a great to my livelihood (the work I do in Photoshop).

I also tried updating Photoshop with Adobe Application Manager (Version 8.0), but it has not helped. The application still freezes and quits randomly when I open up the Set Foreground Color window.

I think I have given as much information as I can think of, but if you guys still need more info I will try and get that for you as best I can. If anyone could help me solve this issue, I will greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Mal
