HI I think i have fixed the moving picture problem, I hadn't applied margins to the left hand pages, now I have and the pictures have stopped moving when I shuffle the pages around
But the text is still vanishing when I re apply a master page to a text page, see 2 screen shots below of before and after applying master to bottom left page
I can send over files if you wish
I am running indesign CS6 (v8.02) and I installed the upgrade a bout a week ago.
